County concede 5…
Our two weekend Over 2.5 Goals picks had plenty of room to spare. Scunthorpe & Rochdale drew 3-3, while Exeter beat hapless Notts County 5-1…
With 7 games played in League Two, Notts County have just one point and are rock bottom of the table (W0 D1 L6).
New manager Harry Kewell was sent to the stands in Saturday’s latest loss. County have now conceded 21 goals in a month. Last season they only conceded 48 in the whole 46-game campaign. The last time County made a worse defensive start to the season than this was when the Football League first began back in 1888.
County started the season as a 6/1 title favourite. They’re now as short as that price to go down.
It was a profitable weekend overall for our picks with two out of three payouts. Barnsley just about kept up their 100% Most Corners record, 8-7 in a 1-1 draw with Walsall, but fell short of beating the -3 Corner Handicap.
Over 2.5 Goals bets have now paid out in 6 out of 7 Rochdale games in League One. And Notts County are top of our League Two table for that bet too, with a matching 86% record.

After the weekend’s League One & League Two games, other eye-catching trends showing on our site today include:
- League One – Peterborough remain undefeated, with 6 wins and one draw. Over 2.5 Goals has paid out in 5 of their 7 games, and Both Teams to Score in 6 out of 7. Weekend result: Southend 2 Peterborough 3
- League One – Burton Albion are in 1st place on the League One chart on our website for Under 10.5 Corners, with 6 out of 7 games seeing 10 or less Corners. Weekend result: Accrington 1 Burton 1, Total Corners = 8
- League Two – Forest Green are ranked joint-top of our League Two table for Both Teams to Score payouts, with 6 out of 7 so far. Weekend result: Forest Green 1 Port Vale 1
- League Two – Tranmere’s James Norwood is the Top Scorer in League Two with 7 goals in 7 games. As the Scorer stats on our site show, Norwood has landed 6 Anytime Scorer payouts and 4 First Scorer payouts in those 7 games. Weekend result: Tranmere 1 Colchester 1, First Scorer: Norwood
Those are just a selection of markets and examples. Every week we’ll be keeping track of the top performing teams across a range of stats – then looking to cash-in when the next appropriate round of games comes along…
Coming up this week…
There are a couple of EFL Trophy games midweek, along with the conclusion of the first International break of the season…
In Friday’s ATL Extra email we looked at England’s Most Corners stats. They provided another winner on Saturday night, with the corners score 4-1 to England in their 1-2 defeat to Spain in the UEFA Nations League.
That Most Corners bet has now paid out in 10 out of 11 England games at Wembley, and in 28 of their last 31 overall.
- Next up for England, an International Friendly v Switzerland at Leicester’s King Power stadium on Tuesday night
The Premier League returns this weekend, along with a full fixture list across the Football League and Scottish Premiership. I’ll be picking out the best trends & prices in your Picks & Analysis email on Friday afternoon.
Enjoy the football,
Best wishes,
