Champions League Final: 85/1 Bet Builder for PSG v Inter…
We were in the right ballpark with our 85/1 Bet Builder for the Conference League final on Wednesday night, landing three legs out of five…
To Lift the Cup: Chelsea - Won (Chelsea 4-1)
To Score or Assist: Cole Palmer - Won (2 Assists)
Player Shown a Card: Moises Caicedo - Lost
Player Shown a Card: Romain Perraud - Won (Yellow Card)
Player Shown a Card: Natan - Lost
Now it’s time for the Big One. European club football’s biggest match. All eyes on Munich on Saturday evening…
PSG v Inter Milan
Saturday 8pm, TNT Sports
Here are our selections for the UEFA Champions League final. Standout stats to add in the mix for an attractive Bet Builder…
GOALS/ MATCH RESULT:
- The last 6 Champions League finals have all gone Under 2.5 Goals (4 x 1-0, 4 x 2-0 Correct Scores)
- On the other hand, Inter’s last 5 Champions League games have all gone Over 2.5 Goals, including a pair of 3-3 draws in the semi finals
- Two of the world’s best goalkeepers will be on show here. Gianluigi Donnarumma for PSG, Yan Sommer for Inter. Lookout for heroics from those guys - with the potential to land the official UEFA Player of the Match award (especially if it goes to a penalty shootout). Note: some bookies (eg. Skybet) pay out on the OPTA stats-based Man of the Match, not the official UEFA award
- With those goalies on the park, and a smart and hard-working Italian team in Inter, I wouldn’t rule out the chance of a 0-0 here. Of course, there’s also plenty of attacking talent on the pitch. Interestingly, 5 of PSG’s 16 Champions League matches have ended 1-0 in this campaign, win or lose
- One angle that stands out in encounters like this is the Draw. A bet that has featured prominently in pretty much all of our profitable big-match Bet Builders in recent times. A close match in store, and not much in it on the odds. The bookies make PSG the favourites, but Inter have come through the last two rounds as underdogs, knocking out Bayern Munich and Barcelona. A 1-1 draw is my prediction
SCORERS/ ASSISTS:
- Inter captain Lautaro Martinez is the club’s top scorer in the competition this season, with 9 goals. He’s due back from injury for Saturday’s big match
- Ousmane Dembele has had the best season of his career. He’s PSG’s top scorer in 2024/25, including 8 goals (and 4 assists) in the Champions League
CARDS:
- Istvan Kovacs will be the man with the whistle here. The Romanian referee showed 7 yellow cards in last year’s Europa League final. And booked 5 players in the 2022 Conference League final (including 3 yellows to Roma players for time-wasting). The bookies make Over 4.5 Cards a slight underdog in the two-way Total Cards market here, with Bet365 at 6/5 (2.2)
- Joao Neves has committed more Champions League fouls than any other player this season (23). The 20-year-old PSG midfielder has been booked in 2 of his last 5 games
- Achraf Hakimi is joint-2nd in that Most Fouls list for PSG, and the flying full-back has a habit of getting into fiery ‘moments’ with opposition players. He paid out for card bettors in the semi final
- Fellow PSG wing-back Nuno Mendes is level with Hakimi on the fouls list, and has got 4 yellow cards in the Champions League this season, including in the semis. Mendes has been booked in 2 of his last 4 appearances in all competitions
- Lucas Beraldo was PSG’s most-carded man in French Ligue 1 this season
- Hakan Calhanoglu has been a profitable go-to guy for us in the Player to be Carded markets for a couple of years now. The combative Turkish midfielder has been booked in 4 of his last 5 Inter appearances, and in 5 of his last 7. What’s more, all 5 of those yellows also paid for for the First Card of the game
- Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is level with Calhanoglu as Inter’s most-carded man in Italy’s Serie A this season. With the likes of Denzel Dumfries, Benjamin Pavard, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan just behind - the latter was carded last time out in the semi finals, along with Bastoni and Calhanoglu
- Lots to choose from there on the Player Cards front, but going with the most prolific stats, we have to stick with Calhanoglu. He also appeals for a standalone pick for the First Card, at 14/1
Note: all of the above match markets apply to normal time only (not extra time or pens).
These four legs combine for an 85/1 Bet Builder with Betfair Sportsbook:
BET BUILDER
Match Odds: Draw
Player to Score: Lautaro Martinez
To Score or Assist: Ousmane Dembele
Player Shown a Card: Hakan Calhanoglu

The Three C’s…
Once again, a reminder of our big-odds Three C’s to keep an eye-out for in these high-intensity, winner-takes-all encounters:
- Cards - discipline can go out the window when the stakes are this high, with a trophy on the line…
- Comebacks - scoreboard turnarounds, Half Time/ Full Time comebacks, late goals, desperation & drama… it’s all up for grabs. In this week’s UEFA Conference League final, Chelsea came from 0-1 down at the break to win the cup, 4-1. And in last weekend’s Championship Playoff Final, Sunderland came from a goal down at HT to fight back and win the match. The latter paid 40/1 in the HT/ FT market…
- Centre-backs - and other unlikely scorers… watch out for an unheralded name popping up with a big goal for their team. PSG captain Marquinos is one to watch from the back. As is Nuno Mendes, who has scored in 2 of his last 4 Champions League appearances…
