Back to business…

After last weekend’s FA Cup distractions, we’re back to league business this weekend with the Premier League and Football League returning.

We’re moving in on the stats today by focusing on three of the very highest trends on show…

Weekend Picks & Analysis…

All the latest match Head-2-Heads, League Stats and Team Stats are on our website.

Here’s my take on the top match-ups on the stats…

West Ham v Arsenal

Premier League
Saturday, 12.30pm – Sky Sports

Match odds: West Ham 5/2 (3.50), Draw 14/5 (3.80), Arsenal 21/20 (2.05)

Arsenal’s Away games are producing stacks of payouts in the Goals markets. The Gunners are 100% on the road for Both Teams to Score, and 90% for Over 2.5 Goals

That 9-games-out-of-10 record is the highest road strike-rate in the Premier League.

West Ham match-up well with 5 of their last 6 Home games going Over 2.5 Goals.

The Total Goals market could tempt a few in with Over 3.5 Goals at odds against prices – there were 4 goals in the last meeting, and 5 in the one before that – but the standard 2.5 line is the top-rated stats here.

  • Over 2.5 Goals @ 27/50 (1.54) with Marathonbet, 8/15 (1.53) Bet365, Boylesports, William Hill, Betfair Sportsbook, 888 Sport, Unibet

West Brom v Norwich

Championship
Saturday, 3pm

Match odds: West Brom 5/4 (2.25), Draw 13/5 (3.60), Norwich 23/10 (3.30)

This should be a good match. Two Top 4 sides, pushing for promotion – and loads of Goals form…

It was 3-4 to West Brom last time they met. The stats say to expect goals at both ends again. The Baggies are the No.1 team in the division for Both Teams to Score, with an 85% Home strike-rate made up of 11 payouts from 13 games at The Hawthorns.

Norwich are 69% on the road for this bet with 9 of their 13 trips seeing goals at both ends of the pitch.

The recent form shows Both Teams to Score results in 8 of West Brom’s last 10 games (4 out of 5 at Home). Norwich are also 8 from their last 10, including some real rollercoaster games, with 3-4, 3-3, 2-2 and 3-2 and 3-1 score-lines in December.

  • Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 4/7 (1.57) with NetBet, 10Bet, William Hill, Boylesports, Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook

Oldham v Forest Green

League Two
Saturday, 3pm

Match odds: Oldham 7/5 (2.40), Draw 12/5 (3.40), Forest Green 21/10 (3.10)

After their FA Cup heroics at Premier League Fulham last weekend, Oldham return to League Two action against a Forest Green side that sit 5 points above them in the table.

Both Teams to Score is the big standout stat here. Forest Green have a 100% Away record with 13 consecutive Away games seeing goals at both ends. That’s the strongest trend in this market for any side in the country.

Oldham match-up well with 9 of 13 games at Boundary Park paying out on Both Teams to Score (69%) – including 4 of their last 5.

  • Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 3/4 (1.75) with Sportingbet, 8/11 (1.73) Bet365, Ladbrokes, Coral, William Hill, NetBet, 10Bet, Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook, Betfred, Boylesports, Betway

Weekend picks…

You’ll see the names Marathonbet and NetBet have appeared again in today’s email. Names like those aren’t top of many people’s list, but they offer a great range of stats markets, as mentioned in our last email.

In summary, here are this weekend’s picks at the best prices:

West Ham v Arsenal:

West Brom v Norwich:

  • Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 4/7 (1.57) with NetBet

Oldham v Forest Green:

  • Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 3/4 (1.75) with Sportingbet

I’ll be back on Monday with your latest Stats Review.

Enjoy the football…

Best wishes,

Oliver Upstone
