Leicester City were involved in two against-the-odds results at the weekend…
Foxes buck the formbook…
Having beaten Southampton a record 9-0 away in their last encounter with the Saints, Leicester were 7/10 (1.70) favourites for the home win on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers’ side went 1-0 up – but ended up losing 1-2.
- That defeat was the only missing link in what would’ve been an 8-fold, 80/1 acca payout from Friday’s Across the Leages EXTRA Premier League Predictions email. The other 7 Match Results all went to plan, including the draw between Crystal Palace and Arsenal (1-1)
CORNERS
On the Corners stats, Leicester are also flying high this season at the King Power Stadium for Most Corners and Corner Handicap bets.
However, despite being down on the scoreboard and chasing goals, the men in blue ended up being beaten on the corner count by Southampton, too – with the final tally 2-4.
Our other two featured Premier League games went the way of the Corners form:
Chelsea beat Burnley (3-0) and bossed the corners, 10-3, to cover a -4 Corner Handicap with room to spare.
Frank Lampard’s boys have now won the Most Corners in 9 out of 11 Premier League games at Stamford Bridge (82%). They sit joint-top of the Premier League ‘Most Corners’ table on our website.
Sheffield United beat West Ham (1-0) and were ahead on the corners all game, with the tally at 7-3, to surpass a -2 Corner Handicap.
The Blades are level with Man City (91%) for the best home record, winning the Most Corners in 10 of their 11 league games at Bramall Lane.

Lazio hit the perfect 10…
In Italy, a missed penalty kick from Atalanta’s second-half substitute Luis Muriel was the difference between an Over 2.5 Goals payout or not. The final score was Inter Milan 1 Atalanta 1.
Elsewhere in Serie A, Lazio beat Napoli, 1-0, to record an extremely impressive 10th successive league victory.
That makes Lazio one of the form teams in Europe right now…
In terms of winning streaks, Premier League leaders Liverpool are two games in front of Lazio, with 12 victories in a row. The most recent – a 1-0 win at Tottenham – was also a 6th consecutive Clean Sheet for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
