In Across the Leagues today:
It was an entertaining Saturday afternoon for us, with two out of three ticking the box for Win & Both Teams to Score.
Fulham and Oxford Utd both won 3-2, at odds of around 3/1 each for the Win & BTTS.
With regards to my Win & BTTS weekend treble, Man Utd could only manage a late 1-0 win over West Ham, so no 60/1 full house this time. Two out of three is encouraging though. We’ll be going again soon.
The Premier League is on a short winter break now, returning on 8th February, after the FA Cup 4th round. The Football League continues apace this week, with a dozen or so games across Tuesday & Wednesday. And then a full weekend programme in the Championship, League One, and League Two.
All the latest stats for those divisions can be viewed on our website:
When the Premier League resumes, Manchester City will likely remain a team to follow in the Corners markets…
The champions’ 12-match winning streak came to an end at the weekend, held to a 1-1 draw at Southampton. But the corners tally in that game was 2-11 to the visitors. Keeping City in clear 1st place on our site for Most Corners payouts in the Premier League.
While the Etihad club have won 78% of their league games this season, they’ve cleared the Most Corners in 91% of games:

While Pep Guardiola’s side will be a short odds-on favourite for the Most Corners or Corners Match Bet against most opponents, the Corner Handicap markets can offer better returns. For example:
The African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021) is into the Knockout stage. This evening’s game between hosts Cameroon and underdogs Comoros could be interesting (7pm, Sky Sports & BBC Online)...
Comoros have been hit by injury and coronavirus, with reports today stating that they don’t have a recognised goalkeeper available for tonight’s game.
With all three ‘keepers set to be out of action, the BBC quotes Comoros goalkeeping coach Jean-Daniel Padovani:
"We have already chosen an outfield player who will start as a goalkeeper … He is a player who, during training, showed that he could play as a goalkeeper"
Let’s hope our man Karl Toko Ekambi gets a few chances to test the stand-in goalie tonight…
We’re on Ekambi at a top pre-tournament price of 50/1 to be the AFCON Top Goalscorer. So far he’s got two goals for Cameroon, which puts him in the running for a split of the Each Way places as it stands.
The leading scorer in the tournament so far is Ekambi’s teammate and Cameroon captain, Vincent Aboubakar (five goals).
The bookies are expecting a convincing win for the hosts today. Cameroon are as short as 1/33 (1.03) to win the match in Normal Time. Aboubakar is 8/15 to score (1.53). With our boy Ekambi also odds-on in the Anytime Scorer betting, at 5/6 (1.83). Those prices are with Skybet.
With an outfield player between the sticks, this one could be worth tuning in for tonight!
I’ll be back in the week with more stats and info for you.
Enjoy the football…
Best wishes,
