Champions League tonight - 7/1 and 60/1 selections…

It was a good night for us on the Scorers last night - almost a great one…

Our nominated First Goalscorer Trixie hit two out of three. With Harry Kane and Lautaro Martinez delivering for a 15/1 winning double.

And if, like Across the Leagues member Mark A, you followed some of the other names and markets listed in yesterday’s scorer notes, then bets such as Kane and Kylian Mbappe both ‘To Score 2 or More Goals’ paid out…

“I put Kane & Mbappe in a to score 2 or more goals double at 7.53/1 on Paddy – had a fiver so a nice win (£37.65)… and considered the double on the hat tricks but ran out of time! Hoping Kane gets taken off at HT! I was not sure about Alvarez so just did Martinez & Kane 1st goalscorers in a double (15-1 on Bet365) so a £45 win there too…”

Mbappe got a hat-trick. Kane bagged a brace. One more goal for Harry, and an 80/1+ double on the two hat-tricks would’ve clicked in (!).

Other markets also delivered for anyone getting creative with their selections last night. For example, from our Trixie picks, two out of three would’ve also landed the odds for a Last Goalscorer double (Martinez and Julian Alvarez).

Going for goals in Europe tonight…

Seven of Tuesday’s nine Champions League matches went Over 2.5 Goals. And five of them also smashed the higher Over 3.5 Goals line - two 5-1 scorelines, a 5-0, 4-0, and a 2-2.

That comes after 13 out of 18 games went Over 2.5 Goals on matchday one last month (72%). Where there was also a 5-1 and a 4-0, two 4-1 scores, and a 4-4 draw.

Having researched the match-ups and form, these are my goals-based selections for tonight…

Bayer Leverkusen v PSV Eindhoven:

An Over 2.5 Goals treble on those games pays less than 2/1 (3.0) tonight, with most firms around 7/4 (2.75). I’m more interested in the Over 3.5 Goals potential, with 7/1+ available (see below for bookies).

Haaland on fire…

Following on from yesterday’s form facts for Mbappe and Kane, we can’t let today’s preview pass without mentioning Man City striker, Erling Haaland…

He’s the fastest man to ever reach 50 goals in the Champions League (from just 49 appearances).

There’s little between the teams in the match odds for Villarreal v Juventus, and that one could be very close. Barcelona-PSG is a clash of the giants, and home advantage for the Spaniards might not be enough. While Leverkusen have drawn three of their last five games (all score draws: 1-1, 2-2, 3-3).
