Monday 1st March 2021
In Across the Leagues today:
It’s the start of a new month. And we head into the first week of March with a bustling fixture list to look forward to…
There’s a midweek programme in the Premier League and English Football League, starting from tomorrow.
In Italy, Serie A is also in action with a full round of games from Tuesday to Thursday.
And in Spain and Germany, some big cup matches. With the Copa del Rey semi final, 2nd legs, and the DFB-Pokal quarter finals.
After all that, there’s the usual weekend domestic business to take care of. And into next week, the daily football rolls right on with the next batch of UEFA Champions League and Europa League ties.
We’ll be keeping abreast of all the action. On the lookout for standout stats in the match-day markets, and the occasional big-price angle, too.
Today’s feature match for us is the Monday Night Football on Sky Sports…
Premier League
8pm – Sky Sports
The Cards & Bookings stats get my attention here. Our website tells us that Abdoulaye Doucoure is Everton’s most-carded player this season:
The French midfielder has been a great signing for the Toffees. He joined from Watford in September, after the Hornets were relegated.
Abdoulaye has started 23 out of 24 league games for his new club. The missing one was due to suspension, after collecting a fifth yellow card of the campaign in January.
This season, four of the 28-year-old’s six yellows have come in home games. In action again at Goodison Park tonight, Doucoure is a man to follow for another card…
He’s available at just over 3/1 To Be Carded.
And if you’re looking for something bigger…
The table below from our site shows that Doucoure is also Everton’s man-most-likely for the First Card…
His last two bookings have been the first of the game. And two of those three First Card payouts this season have come at Goodison Park. He’s 10/1 to be the First Player Carded.

TODAY’S PICK:
Everton v Southampton
I’ll be back tomorrow, with stats and analysis targeting the Tuesday evening games.
Enjoy the football…
Best wishes,
