In Across the Leagues today:
One thing I love about following the stats, is that a trend can cut through a team’s match result form - win, lose, or draw - and still deliver…
Two such sides are in action tonight. I’d have to say Fulham are one of the hardest teams ‘to catch right’ in the Premier League. In their last three matches, the Cottagers have won 2-0 away at Crystal Palace… only to then get thumped 4-1 at home by Wolves… then bounce back with a 1-1 draw at Tottenham.
Spurs are arguably even more erratic, given their higher status. Prior to that 1-1 home draw against Fulham, Tottenham had romped to a 4-0 win at champions Man City… having suffered a 2-1 home defeat to previously winless, newly-promoted Ipswich before that.
On the betting front: Tottenham were favourites to beat both Fulham and Ipswich, but flopped. Yet landed the underdog odds at Man City…
It’s a funny ol’ game.
Here’s where the stats can help us out. Two trends for us to follow tonight…
Premier League, 7.30pm - Amazon Prime Video
STATS PICK: Most Corners - Fulham
In their last four games overall (two home, two away), Fulham have out-cornered opponents by an aggregate score of 37 corners to 11.
The Head-2-Head tool on our website shows that at Craven Cottage this season, the corner-winning stats are firmly in Fulham’s favour. With Brighton on the road representing a suitable match-up for us to get involved this evening:

STATS PICK: Brennan Johnson to Score
STATS PICK: Brennan Johnson to be Carded
We’ve discussed Brennan Johnson a few times recently, resulting in three payouts out of four for us when following the Welsh attacker. His current Score OR Carded form, in all competitions for club and country combined, reads: 14 out of 19 games.
Right now, Brennan is on a four-game scoring run, with the last three strikes all coming in a Tottenham shirt. Earlier this season, he squared-up to Harry Kane’s Spurs scoring record, finding the net in six consecutive matches…
We’ll get back on Johnson to Score Anytime tonight with some 5/2 (3.5) available, in a fixture with Bournemouth that has produced Over 2.5 Goals, six times out of nine.
And for bigger odds, let’s follow that Brennan bookings trend, too…
