In Across the Leagues today:
Our first Win & Both Teams to Score combo of the season wasn’t a million miles off on Saturday.
One out of three ticked the box for the match result and goals at both ends. We were ‘one goal’ away from a double in the Trixie, with Gillingham the team we could point to there:
WYCOMBE 2 Gillingham 0
Sheffield Wednesday 1 BOLTON 0
HARROGATE 6 Scunthorpe 1
The English Football League (EFL) season picks up pace from here on in. Every team is into double figures for games played. With form in the book, we’ll be going again with the big-odds ‘Win & BTTS’ selections, very soon.
Harrogate are also ranked joint-1st in the League Two stats on our website for Both Teams to Score payouts:

There’s so much more to the Across the Leagues service than the weekly picks that I put my name to.
As well as the website, stuffed with bet-specific stats for 17 leagues and over 300 teams. There’s YOU…
Nothing in this game makes me smile more than hearing from a member who’s used the stats, analysis, and angles provided in the service to land a big payday of their own…
Ahead of last weekend’s International fixtures, I gave a mention to ‘Malcolm’s Minnows Method’…
In short, a tactic used for many years by Across the Leagues member Malcolm, who plays Trebles on the Correct Scores in certain International match-ups involving some of the smaller footballing nations. Read the original piece here.
At the weekend, ATL member Nick B took that angle and ran with it. Landing himself some serious returns from eight x £5 trebles in the Correct Score market, with a winning trio coming in at 299/1…

Fantastic stuff. Thanks Nick – and thanks Malcolm!
The World Cup 2022 Qualifiers continue this week…
Here are three matches from tonight’s fixture list that fit the bill for some modest Correct Scores – with the combinations rolling up to produce some far from modest prices…
Correct Scores 1-0 and 2-0:
Lithuania v SWITZERLAND
Lithuania have failed to score in 10 of their last 12 defeats, with 4 of the last 8 losses ending 1-0 or 2-0. Switzerland have kept a clean sheet in 8 of their last 9 games v nations ranked 100–150 in the FIFA World Rankings. Lithuania are ranked No.137. The Swiss won 2-0 against Northern Ireland on Saturday.
Faroe Islands v SCOTLAND
Faroe Islands’ last 5 defeats have all been To Nil, including a 0-2 v Austria at the weekend. Four of Scotland’s last 5 victories have been To Nil. Five of the Scots’ last 7 match wins have paid out on the 1-0 Correct Score.
San Marino v ANDORRA
San Marino are bottom of the FIFA World Rankings. The minnows have lost 10 in a row (8 of which were To Nil), and are winless in well over 100 matches. The last two meetings between these nations have ended 2-0 to Andorra. In fact, Andorra’s last 7 wins – a stat that requires following the formbook right back to the year 2000 – have all been by the 1-0 or 2-0 score-line.
Take your pick…
Those 1-0 and 2-0 Correct Scores are available are around 3/1 – 6/1 each, with Switzerland, Scotland, and Andorra the teams to follow.
Depending on your tastes, you might like to play these as Singles, Doubles, or any number of combinations & permutations…
Following the method that’s done so well for Malcolm and Nick, splitting stakes across eight Trebles covers all of the 1-0 & 2-0 combinations, with any three correct giving a big payout on the night…
The trebles roll up to some massive odds, in the region of 100/1 and 200/1+.
For those of you that like to follow my picks to the letter, I’m treating this as a total 4-point stake, eg. 0.5 pt per treble.
For an Anytime Scorer to get behind this evening, John McGinn at 2/1+ (3.0+) is one I like the look of.
McGinn scored in Scotland’s win over Israel on Saturday, and also bagged a brace last time they faced Faroe Islands, in March (including the First Goal).
With Lyndon Dykes reported to be taken off penalty duties this evening, having missed from the spot at the weekend, that puts me off backing the QPR forward somewhat.
For bigger odds than Dykes, Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn and his magic left foot could prove a better bet in front of goal and from set pieces tonight…
From the analysis above, here are my picks for today…
World Cup 2022 Qualifiers – Europe
7.45pm
Apparently, there are ‘essential works’ taking place on the internet in my area tomorrow. All being well, I’ll be back online and with you by email on Thursday.
Enjoy the football…
Best wishes,
